A new hope for the treatment of vitiligo

Are you tired of the discolored spots on your skin (vitiligo)?
Are you frustrated with the common treatments, such as corticosteroids and phototherapy, and their dangerous side effects?
Don't worry anymore.
For the first time in the world, Iranian researchers have developed a cell therapy for the treatment of vitiligo.
Cell therapy is your savior.

•Vitiligo is a condition in which the cells that produce skin color (melanocytes) are destroyed and no longer produce pigment (melanin). As a result, parts of the skin lose their color and cause white spots on the skin.

•Research has shown that vitiligo can lead to social isolation and decreased self- confidence in patients.

•The high cost of conventional treatment methods such as topical creams, immunosuppressive drugs, phototherapy and laser, the lack of a suitable response from the patient's body, the long treatment period and the recurrence of white spots have led scientists to use the new cell therapy method.

•The cell therapy method, unlike conventional methods, does not have serious side effects and can improve the disease by 50 to 70 percent. In this method, no serious skin lesions or complications are created.

•This cellular product has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration and has been successful in obtaining IRC.

Advantages of cell therapy for vitiligo

•Short treatment process
•Outpatient treatment, no need for hospitalization
•No surgery and surgical complications
•No skin lesions or side effects
•No need for long rest or recovery period
•Treatment is performed under local anesthesia, no pain
•One vial can cover 150 square centimeters of skin lesions

Steps in the

cell therapy process

In the first step, a biopsy or skin biopsy is performed on the patient's groin. A number of skin cells are taken as a sample. Then, the "keratinocyte" and "melanocyte" cells are separated and prepared. They are then injected into the parts of the patient's skin that do not have pigment in a single step.

•Visit with a specialist
•Cell therapy consultation
•Review of the patient's medical history
•Conducting the tests specified by the cell therapy consultant
•Reviewing the test results and scheduling a biopsy
•Taking a photo of the affected area with a camera
•Receiving a text message containing the username, cell product injection, and password for the patient registration system
•Biopsy under local anesthesia
•Injection of the cell product
•Proliferation of pigment-producing cells at the injection site and gradual improvement of skin lesions
•The treatment process begins after two weeks from the transfer of pigment cells
